Author! Author!

Election Eve isn’t just for gnawing on your chipping manicure.  Come to the Field at 7 p.m. and hear author Alyssa Capucilli talk about her journey to becoming an accomplished and frequently published author.  This is the launch of an annual event in the Children’s Department, “Author! Author!”  where audiences of all ages can meet up with one of their favorite authors.  Capucilli’s little dog, Biscuit, will not be on hand, but there will be cake and other refreshments, as well as surprises for the children.  Many of Capucilli’s books will be available for purchase and autographing or bring your own, dog-earred copies!  And, if you want to know who the kids would have elected as president for 2009, stick around.   We will post our election results at 8 p.m.

Kids Count Election

Kids, if you are 6 to 17, come to The Field Library in Peekskill and vote for the next President of The United States.   We have a real voting booth to use and our Election Registars will show you how to close the curtain, pull the lever for the candidate of your choice and place your vote.  Voting takes place during library hours, from Saturday Oct. 25 to Monday, Nov. 3rd.
